DOD3 Complete DLC List

Apparently I never made a post using the information I compiled on the available DLCs for the game. I just reopened an old text file that I had made…so here it is.

Please note that this information is for the original DLCs available for the Japanese version of the game. I’m not sure about the specs for the International releases.

Hi Rekka! I just want to start off by thanking you for all the hard work you’ve put into the site and your scanslations! I really enjoy the lore around Drakengard and it’s great being able to read translated versions of side stories and mangas 🙂 (don’t let any detractors get you down!).

That said, I have a question regarding the DLC content for the Utahime stories. Storywise, are the DLC chapters related to the Utahime prequel manga that you’ve translated, or are they unrelated and merely share the same name?

    Thanks!

    • Thank you! That means a lot! <3

The DLC stories are different from Utahime Five and generally take place in the time after Utahime Five and before the Prologue in the game.

      • Shion Arita

Thanks, that’s great to hear. More content is always a good thing :). I’ve gotten the game on order and will also get the DLC when it arrives.

Also, do you think I should finish the game first before reading Utahime Five, or is it pretty spoiler-free as it’s meant to be a prequel to the events of the game?

        • Actually, there are some spoilerish stuff that happen in it, so I would suggest playing the game first, then reading the manga. It’s nice to see what happens in the game and have questions, then read the manga and see how many of your questions are answered.

I would also suggest playing through Branch A–>Branch B–>Branch C–>Branch D first, then get the DLCs and play them in this order: One–>Two–>Three–>Four–>Five–>Zero. You are technically able to start playing the DLCs after clearing Ending A, but in terms of chronological order, the DLCs were not even available in Japan until about 4-5 months after the game had been released.

In this case, I think it’s good to experience the story as it is first, make a lot of questions, and then, find many of the answers within the DLC and manga thereafter. ^^
